Cancer does not discriminate.
Sweet Emilia was just 2.5 years old when she was diagnosed with ALL.
Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia is the most common type of cancer in children.
Despite her diagnosis and many treatments,
Emilia remains an absolute joy.
Full of energy and childhood curiosity, working with her and her family was a pleasure.
Looking at these images, you can really feel the bond of love
that holds them all together, especially that between her and her beautiful sister Avery.
Juvenile cancers are the most grossly underfunded of all cancers,
receiving just 4% of total cancer research funding.
Being a volunteer for The Gold Hope Project has allowed me
to meet some of the most courageous and inspiring young people.
These kids are fighters, they have their whole lives ahead of them.
They deserve SO much more than 4%!!
I highly encourage you to support this wonderful organization
and to contribute in any way you can!

It was such an honor to photograph Sam and his family for The Gold Hope Project last month. Sam was diagnosed with Leukemia on 2.11.13. After 1000 days of chemotherapy, it is wonderful to see him so full of energy, just being a kid.
He has such a fun personality, I wish him a lifetime of health and happiness!!
The Gold Hope Project is always looking for volunteers to gift children like Sam and his family with beautiful and lasting memories.
Please consider joining their growing list of photographers!
