I've photographed a lot of babies, but with the exception of 4 month old triplets (who were age adjusted to newborns) Charlie is the oldest newborn yet. It's best to photograph posed newborns within the first two weeks of life, but don't tell little Charlie that. He is seven weeks and just full of cooperation!! He did so well today and was such a joy. >>> <<<

We finally had a beautiful day for mini sessions. The last two dates were freezing and miserable. This time it was full sun and warm all day! I got to photograph and laugh with the most gorgeous families. . .here is a first look at some of them. >>> <<<
We laughed so much during Ciarra's senior session! She is not only beautiful, but sweet and down to earth. Not to mention that she was up for anything and that's always fun for me. Here's a little preview from her gallery. . . This was her Mama's idea. They even brought their own shells! I love this collage! It makes me long for summer time. . . That light was like a halo all around her, gah! I mean. . .the face, the hair. . .too beautiful!! Ugh, the tones in this make me giddy. Those blue eyes and that beach grass. Because you know how I'm a sucker for a good double! The girl who wore sunset in her hair! This is my favorite image of the day!! Be sure to "like" me on Facebook to see more lovely images! >>> <<<
I haven't taken her picture too much lately, other than for school. I've been busy with work and a million other things. Today was our day off from schooling and we were supposed to spend the whole day cleaning the house. I was upstairs folding my third basket of laundry. . . . . .she was downstairs spreading out her blankets on the living room floor. The dark blue one meant to represent the sea. She changed into summer attire and rummaged through my over-sized hats. Her face lit up when she came running upstairs and excitedly said "Mommy come see my surprise, you're gonna love it!!" When your little girl creates a beach for just the two of you, you innately understand that any mess can wait. So there we sat, under a "palm tree", eating grapes and strawberries on "the beach." When we were done, I asked if I could take a few pictures. She didn't mind at all. I didn't take a lot, just enough to record a memory. Now, she's taking a nap and I'm about to go back to folding clothes. As I was tucking her in she said "You know what Mommy?" "What?" I asked. "You're a really good friend" she replied with a sweet smile. I know some people don't think that you should be friends with your children. To me, though, it is such a blessing. I know that she respects and obeys me. She definitely sees me as an authority figure. At the same time, she knows she can always come talk to me, about anything. I love spending time with her and comforting her when she needs it. Isn't that the definition of friendship? "You know what Nolie? You are a really good friend too." >>> <<<
I don't know if you've heard, but getting three babies the same exact age, to all look at you at the same exact time, can be, uh...challenging, lol! When they do though, well, the results are SUPER cute!! :) Well hello there! I love this family photo! And look how amazing Mom looks already after having three babies! I can't believe how much they have changed in the few short months since their newborn session! Look how sweet and happy those faces are. I love the anchor theme with the clothes! Don't forget to "like" my Facebook to see more adorableness soon! >>> <<<
