Green Lakes State Park Engagement Session | DeWitt, NY These two adorable humans though! I had soooo much fun with them yesterday even if they did make my old, exhausted butt walk the entire length of Green Lakes. We were all tired and sore by the end, but it was totally worth it! I hope I was able to capture the thoughtful, easy-going love that Ashlynn and Sam share. Here is their engagement session sneak peek . . .

Chittenango Falls State Park Engagement Session | Cazenovia, NY Meet my 2021 winners of a free engagement session, Jordy & Jim! Their session was one of the most challenging and fun times I've photographed in over a decade behind the camera. I knew it would be. It was only 25 degrees and the snow was knee deep. As soon as I pulled up, I asked them how adventurous they were. I will admit, even I didn't know the level of adventure we were about to embark on. The steep descent down to the falls resulted in some bloody hand wounds, sledding on our bottoms (without a sled) down flights of ice covered stairs, and inching along at a snail's pace down slippery trails. Once we got down there, I decided it would be a good idea to don Jim's heavy boots and wade knee high in freezing temperature rushing water with $5000 in gear in hand in order to get one particular shot. We weren't able to get close to the actual falls. The snow was just too deep. They were mostly frozen anyway. I'm just glad none of us broke any bones. Though one of us did tear our pants. LOL As for Jordy and Jim, they were such troopers. They trudged right along with me, Jim even held me upright most of the way, haha. And we laughed so hard, I think I wet my pants, though that may have just been snow. Who can know? Anywho, I'm so glad we did it because I love these images. I hope seeing them, makes this wonderful couple feel like it was all worth it. Upper Onondaga Park | Syracuse, NY From the moment Sammie, Michael and I connected on FaceTime, I just knew we would click. They are both so down-to-earth and sweet. It was so great to meet up at the park and witness their love in person. They've been together for quite a while, but still have nothing but heart eyes for each other. I'm so excited for their wedding! 2021 better be good to them!! Here is their e-session sneak peek . . . Suny Geneseo Engagement Session | Geneseo, NY I was so excited when Cassidy and Joey asked if we could shoot their e-session at Geneseo. They shared so many special memories going to school here. It was so much fun walking the grounds with them as they reminisced. The images turned out so beautiful, I can't wait for their wedding next year! Here is their engagement sneak peek . . . Engagement Session | Erie Canal Park | Camillus, NY Lindsey & Patrick were the winners of this year's engagement session giveaway. We met up this weekend on a chilly, but sunny morning at Erie Canal Park in Camillus. They brought their sweet little girl and we were able to get a few family pics, then engagement photos for the rest of their session. The images turned out so sweet and playful. I really love them. It was wonderful meeting this beautiful family! And I wish them every happiness in their future! Here is their sneak peek . . . Highland Forest Engagement Session | Fabius, NY I'm always so curious with how people find me. It's such an honor to be chosen as someone's photographer for one of the most important days of their lives. Being that there are so many options out there it's humbling when a couple sees your value. Maybe even more special, when it's a fellow artist. One of the coolest things that's happened to me several times over the past decade is when someone remembers you from years earlier. I worked with Jeffrey at a wedding over five years ago. He was the videographer and I was the photographer. That was it, he remembered me and my work from that one experience. I had no clue I had even made an impression. Then, when I met him again, this time with his fiancé Jillian we just clicked. I loved their story and their connection. We laughed a lot at their meet and greet. Jillian is so down-to-earth and fun! I knew right then and there that their wedding was going to be a blast. I literally can't wait! That feeling carried over when yesterday, I photographed their winter wonderland engagement session at Highland Forest in Fabius. It was just relaxed and genuine. They fit so perfectly together, it made my job so much easier. Thank you to the future Mr. & Mrs. Newell! I am so excited to share your wedding day with you. I hope you love your engagement session sneak peek!! Brooklyn Bridge & DUMBO Engagement Session | NYC Emily found me on social media. She contacted me for engagement and wedding photography. We agreed to meet up in NYC, where she and Connor now live. We had a blast walking the streets of Brooklyn together. These two have been with each other for five years, but still seem so newly in love. They have the cutest story and I am so excited I get to have a part in documenting it! Congratulations on your engagement Emily & Connor! Here is your sneak peek... To book your own couples or engagement session, contact me HERE. Engagement Session | Stone Quarry Hill Art Park | Cazenovia, NY Emily and I go way back. She hired me for the first time in 2012. Since then, we have done multiple sessions together. She has been one of my biggest supporters since, close to the beginning. On my website's contact form for this session, under things you want me to know she put down "you're only my favorite." And when we got done shooting for the day she told me how much she loves everything I do. That she can't even look at any other photographer's work without comparing it to mine. I'm going to tell you a secret, so pay attention (are you ready?) here it is... Art, is, subjective. There it is. Not everyone loves the same things. Not everyone looks at my work and thinks it's good. And that is OKAY! I believe there is a photographer out there for everyone. Someone to suit everyone's taste, budget and personality. But as an artist, when you do find those clients, the ones who appreciate you. And I do mean YOU. I could say "appreciate your work", but so much of me is tied up with my work. I give a lot to this job. Time, energy, creativity, finances. I love it and it's exhausting. It fulfills me and it's emptying. It fuels me and it depletes me. There are times I can't look at another photographer's work without comparing it to mine either. Those were her words, but they're my words, too. There's so much buzzing around us constantly, it gets easy to not feel good enough. I get down, on myself and my work, In those moments, all I need is just that little nudge to remind me of the love, the fulfillment. To refuel. That's the kind of person Emily is. She lets you know how much she appreciates what you do. And she's the kind of person that you only wish good things for. I've seen her life change over the years and I can honestly say I am absolutely overjoyed to see her happy with Chuck. He is very kind and considerate. I hope her future with him is as bright and lovely as she is. Congratulations to this thoughtful pair! I am rooting for you and your new life together!! Stephanie & Jim's Engagement Session Sneak Peek | Oneida Shores State Park | Brewerton, NY9/26/2018 Engagement Session | Oneida Shores | Brewerton, NY The best descriptor I can think of for Stephanie and Jim is ADORABLE. They are just ridiculously cute together. They are playful and fun. I just know they are going to have a beautiful marriage! I hadn't shot out at Oneida Shores in years. It is still just as lovely as I remember. To top it off, we had the perfect overcast evening, that ended in an incredible fiery sunset. Insert heart eyes emoji here!! Engagement Session | Green Lakes State Park | DeWitt, NY I was really excited to meet the winners of my free engagement session giveaway!! Dakotah and Matt were so much fun and we had a beautiful evening at one of my favorite locations. Right off the bat, Dakotah said she preferred traditional images. No double exposures or prisming. It's definitely a challenge for me to rein in my super artsy nature, but I think I pulled it off. Of course, I did have to throw in one silly one at the end, but they were great sports about it. They leaned right into it. ;) Congrats on your engagement you two. I hope you enjoy these images for a lifetime! To book your own couples/engagement session, contact me HERE. When these two lovebirds contacted me this past winter and told me all about their plan to get married in the stadium I was like heck yeah! We decided to shoot their e-session there as well. So we could check the place out and so their images will fit seamlessly with the theme of their wedding day. Here's just a portion of their gorgeous engagement images...
