Salmon River Family Session | Pulaski, NY I was originally supposed to photograph the wedding that would make all these boys, brothers. Cue 2020 and the Corona Virus. Needless to say, Kelly and Todd did end up getting married, but sadly, not the way they intended. And not with me there to capture it. It was disappointing for me. However, it felt so great to see them a short while later for their very first session, as a family of 6! I was excited because it was a location I'd been wanting to shoot at for a while. We met up at the double stone arch remains from the old Syracuse Northern Railroad along the Salmon River in Pulaski. We couldn't have asked for a better day. Late fall, golden hour and nothing but laughter and love! These are just some of the images included in their final collection. Let me know what you think in the comment section below!

Mommy & Me | Skaneateles, NY It's been a few years since I photographed this beautiful family. It was so wonderful to catch up and to see how little Frankie has grown. I love when I can document a Mommy/Daughter relationship. It's such a strong and special connection. Every Mother should treat herself to a session like this! Please enjoy this sweet sneak peek . . . W H I T E E A G L E C O N F E R E N C E C E N T E R | H A M I L T O N, N Y M A T E R N I T Y P H O T O S E S S I O N I have so much to say about this fun maternity session!! First off, Sydney found me on a local moms FB group. I can't express enough just how appreciative I am to all my clients that have, and continue to, recommend me. Without your word of mouth and support I would not be in business, truly. Secondly, when we were booking this session, Sydney asked if I would mind driving to Hamilton to do it. To the place where she and Justin got married. I had never heard of it before, but I loved the idea... and even more so when I got there! This property is just adorable!! When you pull in, it feels like a trip back in time. The town moved all the old historic buildings onto one property, so it's like walking into an 1800's village. There's a one room schoolhouse, a general store, a covered bridge, a gazebo. Just too many cute things. Not to mention the goats, a miniature horse and a donkey! We had such a great time just walking around and chatting. I love how authentic and real these images turned out. That's because the moments weren't forced at all. That laughter isn't posed. From when little Maisie said she wanted to name the new baby "toothpaste" to when she was playfully wiping off her parents kisses or started splashing in puddles, we just had fun. And it definitely shows. I love working with kids! I love the way they see the world. I'm so excited for this family and their new addition. And I would bet money that little "toothpaste" will be just as "bright and bubbly" as big sister. Ahahaha I had to. <3 To book your own Maternity/Newborn session, contact me HERE. I love meeting new families. The Siechens are so much fun. We had an absolutely beautiful day at Green Lakes State Park. Full sun is usually a photographer's nightmare, but I like to use the harsh shadows to create visual interest. Here is their sneak peek... Talk about a picture perfect family!! I mean, how gorgeous are these people?! Mom wanted fall images, I'm so glad the leaves still had a little color on them. I love this time of year so much. Howe family, here is your sneak peek... I hope you love them. These gorgeous humans have been with me for years! Let me tell you what I love about the Montroys. A lot of times during a family session, the parents, usually the mom, insists that the children "behave". And I get it. They are paying for these images. They want something nice. (I'm not knocking it btw because I'm the same way during my family photos.) The wonderful thing about Brittany though is how laid back she is. She doesn't force anything. She lets me direct the kids. And best of all, after we get a few posed shots, she allows me to set them loose. She lets me capture them EXACTLY as they are. They don't need perfect poses and perfect hair. They laugh, they jump, they run, they fall down. And you know something? Her images are always PERFECTION! They are real and fun and true memories of who their family was at this precise moment in time. All I can say is that I adore you, Montroy family!! You make my job so enjoyable and fulfilling. As always, I hope you love your images. Here is your sneak peek... I can't believe it has been five years since I last photographed this fun family! The kids have grown so much. It's so nice to reconnect and work with familiar people over the years. I feel so invested in all your stories! I hope I told this one well... ...here's your sneak peek. This gorgeous family though!
Every year I swear they get more and more lovely. Here's a little look at their family session... I can't really explain how much I adore this family. They are just a delight and I think these are the best images I have ever taken of them. It was such a beautiful and relaxed day. We took all their images in only 20 minutes and they still feel so natural to me. Until next time Bodow family . . . Some of my absolute favorite people in the world
and some of my all time favorite family images combined last weekend. These are the kind of images I always want to make. The kind that inspire me! Images that are full of genuine laughter, movement and real emotion. That capture people just as they are, not trying too hard to be proper or perfect. I hope they love them as much as I do and will cherish them for a lifetime. This was such a special photoshoot to me. This woman is my oldest friend in the world. We have so many memories together. Having sleepovers at her house when I was only ten. Practically living with her as a teenager. I was there when she first started dating her husband Gregg and she was there when I first started dating my husband Greg.. I was a bridesmaid in her wedding. I held her son when he was just months old. It feels so surreal that he will be graduating high school this year! Donnetta is one of those people who makes friendship easy. If we went an entire year without talking, she wouldn't be offended. She wouldn't make me feel guilty. She understands that life is just that way and each time we do see each other, we just naturally pick up where we left off. She has this beautiful way of seeing the best in others and is always there when I really need her. I can't express how grateful I feel to still have her in my life! Here is a sneak peek of her family session . . . >>> <<<
This photo shoot had to be rescheduled twice because of frigid temps.
I'm actually so glad it was. Today was absolutely beautiful. There was snow, but it was mild enough to enjoy. I had a fun day...I think they did too. :) |
